The Alaska Court System is migrating to a new electronic case information
system called CourtView.
The table below lists the courts that have migrated to CourtView. During
the transition to the new system you will need to search both CourtView
and the Name Index in order to get complete statewide information. You
only need to search CourtView to see all the records from courts that
have migrated to that system.

About CourtView and the Name Index
- Verify identity: Do not assume that a person listed in these databases
is the person you are looking for without at least confirming that
the date of birth is the same. The court system cautions
employers, credit agencies, and others to verify identity before taking any
adverse action against a person whose name appears in these databases.
Additional identifying information may be available in the case file. To request
a copy of documents from the case file, contact
the court in which the matter was filed.
- Types of cases included: Both CourtView and the Name Index
provide civil and criminal case information. CourtView also provides
information about traffic cases and other minor offenses. Neither database
includes confidential cases. Information about cases that have been appealed
to the Alaska Supreme Court or the Alaska Court of Appeals is available on
the Appellate Courts Case Management
System website.
- Dates included: There is no comprehensive case information available
for any trial court location before 1990. Some courts enter older case information
into the database on an ongoing basis, so your search results may include
matters from the 1980s and 1970s, but you should not assume that all the cases
from those years are included in the Index. Contact
each court for complete information about cases before 1990.
- Corrections to case information: If you believe a record contains
a factual error, please contact the clerk
of court where the matter was filed.
| Information or Corrections to Case Records |
For information or questions about a case record or if you believe a record in the database contains a factual error, please contact the clerk of court where the matter was filed.
